Women’s Spiritual Formation
The season of Lent is a time to grieve. We lament our own sin as well as the brokenness of the world around us as we prepare to celebrate the Good News of Easter — that because of Jesus, "One day, everything sad will come untrue." If we don't acknowledge our sin, how can we celebrate being forgiven?
Scripture is full of encouragement that confessing our sins — both privately to God and to other believers — leads to freedom, joy, and humility as we grasp the vastness of God's grace. But... how do we become people who freely admit our shortcomings, brokenness, and struggles amid a culture obsessed with perfection?
At the discussion, we'll look at what Scripture says about confession, learn some practices to help us incorporate it into our lives, and spend time reflecting and praying together and alone.
