What to Expect Sunday (8/5)

A Few New Things This Week

1) Since our guitarist is out of town, we will sing something with a slightly more ancient feel. Though the tunes were written to be sung with or without accompaniment, the cultural distance can make this difficult, so make sure you give Be Thou My Vision and It is Well With My Soul a listen. Here is the bulletin!

2) Spaghetti Dinner this week! Sign up here. This week, we will try something new- we will sign up for next week's dinner after prayer this week (gasp). So be on the lookout for that.

3) We will provide childcare for kids age 0-5. In addition, Meredith Thompson will be looking for volunteers to take a turn helping out with the littles in the future. We ask that 6 and above join us for prayer and praise. Since we have to become like them in order to enter the kingdom of God (Matt. 18:3), we should let them instruct us some.

4) Mark your calendars: August 26th will be Christ the King's Summer End party. More details to follow.

5) Mark your calendars again: we will host a worship service September 30th at a public location. This would be a great chance to invite anyone who would like to check out Christ the King, but isn't ready for the more intimate house setting. We will sing more songs, have a sermon, and gather together after. More details to follow.
